Christine Prefontaine

Christine is a strategist, innovator, and knowledge sharing and communication advisor. Since 2000, she has worked in international development, focusing on information and communication technologies, democracy and governance, and health. Christine connects people and ideas, manages projects, and designs everything — campaigns, content, tools, practices. She writes about civic media, digital advocacy, and things practical, open, and participatory at Facilitating Change. She is also a champion of innovation spaces: libraries, telecentres, coworking, hacker spaces, and fablabs. Prior to working with TASCHA, she worked for Canada’s International Development Research Centre (IDRC), the University of Maryland, and Deloitte’s Emerging Markets Group. Christine has an MA in Public Communication from American University.
