Public Access Landscape Study

The Landscape of Public Access Technology in Developing Countries project examined access and use of information and communication technologies (ICT) in public settings such as public libraries, telecenters, and cybercaf├ęs. The study reported on 25 countries, drawing data from more than 250,000 public access venues. Local research teams surveyed more than 25,000 people and conducted interviews and focus groups. TASCHA researchers then collected, interpreted, and analyzed country-level results, and conducted cross-country comparative analyses to uncover common themes, challenges, and opportunities. The study has resulted in reports, summaries, and data profiles for each of the 25 countries, as well as numerous journal articles, working papers, and conference presentations. The final country reports, summaries, and data profiles from the study are highlighted in the table below for convenience.
