Partnership to develop framework for digitally inclusive communities

TASCHA was awarded a cooperative agreement by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) to develop a framework for digitally inclusive communities. In partnership with IMLS and the International City/County Management Association (ICMA), the project will deliver a proposed framework that will identify the principles, elements, and characteristics of organizations and communities that foster digital inclusion.

The proposed framework is intended to be a resource in the future development of benchmarks and community-level guidelines. Its ultimate purpose is to provide communities with a resource for assessing and building the capacity of public libraries and community-based organizations to meet the public’s information needs.

Once developed, others will use the framework as a foundation to develop actionable benchmarks, evaluation tools, and performance measures.
