Global Impact Study Surveys

The Global Impact Study surveys target three populations connected to “public access ICT venues” in Bangladesh, Brazil, Chile, Ghana, and the Philippines: users (~1000), operators (~250), and non-users (~400). The user survey gathers information on user characteristics, usage patterns, and perceived impacts of use. The operator survey gauges operational characteristics, design, services, and costs. The non-user survey documents group characteristics and reasons for non-use. The surveys advance project goals by: 1. Serving as integral links to the in-depth studies; 2. Providing data on accessibility, use, and perceived benefits of venues; 3. Providing insight into non-use; and 4. Providing insight into the potential magnitude of impacts.
