The US IMPACT Public Library Study examines the impact public library efforts to provide free access to computers, the Internet, digital resources, and support services on the well-being of individuals, families, and communities. Researchers worked with users, libraries, communities, and public policy organizations to document impact in the areas of civic engagement, education, e-commerce, e-government, health, employment, and social inclusion. The project also identifies indicators and simple, cost-effective evaluation approaches to guide funding and policy decisions.
This project is a product of the US IMPACT Study.
