Gennie Gebhart

Gennie is a graduate of the Master of Library and Information Science program at the University of Washington Information School. At TASCHA, she worked on the Mobile Information Literacy project as part of the larger Information Strategies for Societies in Transition project in Myanmar. Her research focuses on the many facets of access in low-resource and repressive policy environments, particularly in Southeast Asia. Her graduate thesis looked at cybersecurity and (self-)censorship in Thailand. Her other projects have included research on zero-rating in Ghana and Open Access advocacy at the University of Washington.
