TASCHA faculty member off to Seville for research residency
TASCHA Research Assistant Professor Maria Garrido leaves today to participate in a five-week research residency at the Institute for Prospective Technological Studies (IPTS) in Seville, Spain. Maria will be working with researchers at the Information Society Unit designing a study to better understand the role of eInclusion intermediaries, such as telecenters and libraries, in advancing social and economic policy goals. The project Maria will be working on is called MIREIA: “Measuring the Impact of eInclusion actors on
Digital Literacy, Skills, and Inclusion goals for the Digital Agenda for Europe.” Maria is excited to participate in the design of an impact assessment framework that has the potential to capture data from different types of eInclusion intermediaries in different countries, and with her research background, she will be a great contribution to the project. She looks forward to exploring how the data derived from this project can inform policy development. More information about the study, including the main objectives and activities, can be found on MIREIA’s website.
