TASCHA researchers receive “Outstanding Paper” award
We’re pleased to share that two TASCHA researchers, Ricardo Gomez and Elizabeth Gould, received a Literati Network for Excellence “Outstanding Paper” award for The cool factor of public access to ICT: users perceptions of trust in libraries, telecenters, and cybercafés in developing countries.
This means that the Information Technology & People journal’s editorial team found it to be “one of the most impressive pieces of work the team has seen throughout 2010.” Every journal published by Emerald selects one paper to receive this award each year.
This paper, published in 2010 in the journal, reports on TASCHA’s Landscape of Public Access Technology in Developing Countries project, which examined how people in 25 countries access and use information and computers in public settings such as public libraries, telecenters, and cybercafés.
