Joe Sullivan
Biography / Positions / Education
Joe was a research analyst and communications designer at TASCHA. His research interests included: qualitative methods, evidence, and evaluation, especially in community technology settings. In the communication realm, he worshiped at the alter of strategy, design thinking, appropriation, and user-centeredness. His work explored themes of civil society, employability, youth, development, philanthropy, nonprofits, and design. Previously, Joe was an analyst with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s U.S. Library and Native American Access to Technology Programs. He worked with NGOs in South Asia around gender, migration, and technology. He also coached college debate. Joe holds master’s degrees in Public Administration and Human Centered Design & Engineering from the University of Washington.
