Karah Lothian

Karah is a graduate of the Learning Sciences master’s program in the College of Education. As a research assistant, she supported the development of TASCHA’s theoretical assessment framework. Karah’s research interests include cognition & communication, learning across settings, and teacher inquiry through technology-based supports. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Vermont in Early Childhood Education focusing on the theoretical and practical implications of cultural competency, disability, and universal design in their relationship to education. Karah, an educator of more than ten years, specializes in communication strategies, project planning, and implementation assessment. She continues to work with families impacted by dyslexia and other language based learning differences, as well as refugee communities in the Seattle area.
