Matias Centeno
Biography / Positions / Education
Matias was an exchange visiting PhD student at TASCHA in 2014. Returning to TASCHA in 2021 as a Fulbright Visiting Scholar, he continued his research on the impact of information technologies in family farming, focusing on the role of youth in shaping new socio-technical dynamics in agriculture in the context of COVID-19. Matias has led numerous research projects about the role youth in integrating information technology into agrarian business and processes in his home country, Argentina, and he has studied youth groups within different cultural contexts in the United States, Europe and other South American countries. Matias was a principal research scientist at the National Institute of Agriculture Technologies in Argentina. He was also a faculty member and academic coordinator for the undergraduate degree in social communications in the Department of Communications at the National University of San Luis.
