Yvette Iribe Ramirez
Biography / Positions / Education
Yvette is a PhD Candidate at the Information School, her research focuses on information practices within Indigenous communities in Latin America and the role of ICTs in community development. She holds a Masters in Library and Information from the University of Washington, and a BS in Anthropology from the University of California, Riverside. Her research approach focuses on cultivating relationships and community collaboration, as well as establishing research partnerships with local and international NGOs. Prior to pursuing her doctorate, Yvette worked in public and academic libraries, most recently as a public librarian.
