Event: Come Meet TASCHA!

Are you interested in how access to information contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals?  Passionate about digital inclusion & literacy, access to technology, communication, and information resources? Curious how data collection and analysis can support development? Wonder how data-driven policy decision making can be supported in organizations?

At this event, we’ll provide a brief overview of TASCHA’s work and share how students can get involved. You’ll meet some of the folks who work at TASCHA and get a chance to talk with us about our work and your interests. There’ll be plenty of time for mingling, discussion, questions, and of course, lunch!

  • What: Meet the Technology & Social Change Group (TASCHA) – lunch provided
  • Where: University of Washington, Bloedel Hall Common Area (outside of the classroom), in the lower level of Bloedel (follow signs for the Information School)
  • When: Wednesday, November 15, 2017, 12:30-1:20pm

The Technology & Social Change Group (TASCHA) at the University of Washington Information School explores the design, use, and effects of information and communication technologies in communities facing social and economic challenges. With experience in over 50 countries, TASCHA brings together a multidisciplinary network of researchers, practitioners, and policy experts to advance knowledge, create public resources, and improve policy and program design. Our purpose? To spark innovation and opportunities for those who need it most.
