Opportunity for iSchool student to assist with ICT4D seminar

For years, Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) has hosted a weekly seminar called Change. The Change seminar focuses on research, projects, and issues related to information & communication technologies for development (ICT4D). Starting this fall, the Technology & Social Change Group (TASCHA) of the Information School and the School of Public Health will be co-hosting the seminar with CSE. We are looking for an iSchool student to help coordinate the weekly seminar, working with student volunteers in CSE and Public Health to identify, invite, and coordinate seminar speakers, along with other seminar logistics such as updating website information and promoting the seminar both online and off. Expected time commitment is about 4-5 hours per month. Ideally, the student will work through the 2017-2018 academic year in this volunteer position. This is a great opportunity for an iSchool student interested in getting involved with the ICT4D field and the work of TASCHA (and other related UW departments and schools). If you are interested in this opportunity, please send your resume and an email explaining your interest (and any relevant experience) in volunteering for this position to tascha@uw.edu. Priority consideration will be given to those who submit by Friday, July 7, 2017.
