Benjamin Nickerson is an undergraduate student studying at the University of Washington School of Information Sciences. While pursuing his degree in Informatics, he is studying issues of broadband cost, speed, and accessibility in Washington state with a focus on how race impacts access to technology. Ben works closely with many information systems to build complete data perspectives for his projects. His current work seeks to expand on knowledge of digital redlining by creating a comprehensive dataset of internet speeds and costs in Seattle and beyond.
