Charles Bugre is a PhD candidate at the University of Washington Information School. His current research interests include participatory, UX research with/for under and unserved populations, the use of ICT for economic and social development; information/ICT and its ethical use among the youth; digital literacy for persons with low-levels of literacy; ICT and the future of libraries; deepfakes and its looming effects on democracy. Before coming to UW iSchool, Charles has worked as an academic librarian for over nine years and as a lecturer in Information Technology for over three years.
