Jessica is a Research Scientist in the Henry M. Jackson School for International Studies and at TASCHA. Her current research focuses on cybersecurity issues, particularly non-state actors and international security. Her past research explored political mobilization and online culture emerging from highly populated online communities such as Anonymous (4chan.org) and World of Warcraft. In 2012, she won the Association of Internet Researcher’s Dissertation Award. Her book, Expect Us: Online Communities and Political Mobilization, was be published by Oxford University Press in 2014. Jessica holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Washington.
