Mike Crandall
Biography / Positions / Education
Mike is a Principal Research Scientist at the University of Washington’s Information School. Previously, Mike was Director of the iAffiliates Program, Chair of the Master of Science in Information Management program, and Senior Lecturer in the University of Washington’s Information School. Prior to joining UW, he was Technology Manager for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s Libraries and Public Access to Information Program and Manager of the Knowledge Architecture Group in Microsoft Information Services. He also worked at the Boeing Company on multiple projects related to information management and information architecture. He currently serves on the Dublin Core Metadata Education and Outreach Committee and the editorial board of Library Quarterly. Current research projects include the IMLS funded Linked Data for Professional Education, the Information Strategies for Societies in Transition project, and the Research Roadmap project.
